There's a phrase, "something's better than nothing," but this is just appallingly incompetent, and I am genuinely afraid that this doujin is less likely to receive a legitimate translation because of the chance of someone seeing this in passing and thinking it's already been translated.

I truly do not understand why people who don't speak the language want to do translations. Because you're clearly not passionate about this kind of thing. If you WERE you'd use a machine translator, get a rough jist of what everyone is saying, and then just rewrite their dialogue to something that is actually coherent in English. The translation wouldn't be accurate or good, but at least the final product would be readable.

Like, it really seems like you just ran it through whatever machine translator you used, and then didn't even bother proofreading it. What, is that too much work to do? And if it isn't and you just don't know how, then why bother doing this at all?
