Personally always find it intriguing how a lot of people have this fantasy that "people" in general have a "good" and "bad" side and it is not because "people" can not be good, but that circumstance forced them to be bad. And thus why a lot of humanization done in art is often misplaced since it doesn't fit the overall plot logic. For example, if a person is highly competent and intelligent, why would they degrade themselves out of a situation when there are better options? It doesn't make any sense and just gives off a feeling of cheap writing. But then again, why the fuck am I being serious while reading porn?
