or like asking a favor from a talented friend who does craftwork/technical work, at some point you pay them back in favors or some financial compensation.

i may be a person on this site, but i do buy cosplay roms from getchu. as for these patreon models, i dont like how they monetize some "rewards".
trying to turn a hobby into a profession takes dedication and hard work but the higher tiers just reeks of exploitation.
but that exploitation exist because of "willing buyer, willing seller" mechanics... easier to save the money and hire a hooker to cosplay than pay 100USD a month for "private snapchat"
