I wouldn't pretend that i speak for everyone, but i like to think that most of the naruhina fandom that comes to this site mostly likes the doujins for the pair and their romance more than the hentai, not that the hentai isn't something that is welcome when its present :)

On the one hand, I find the set up for the conflict somewhat forced and it complicates the relationship even more than Kishimoto did in canon (Naruto was clear as fuck to Hinata at the end of the movie, though the issue here is a little more complex than just wording on Naruto and Hinata's part, and it becomes evident further into the story).

I think the wording and some lines early on exacerbate that feeling.

That said, the story has many funny scenes, I love Hanabi's characterization (wish more people used her), Naruto and Hinata are quite adorable as a couple (specially once they talk things out), and the reactions of the cast are pretty amusing.

And I really like how the imagine spots Naruto has od their life together depicts the couple in their various designs.

Oh, and I really like that the story addresses the fact that Japan has words to describe different layer of love/affection.

To this day there are people that are absolutely convinced that Naruto's love for Sakura was deeper than it really was because of trlanslation issues, seeing how he never qualifies it above a mere "suki".

Hinata's canon confession, in contrast, uses the more explicit "daisuki", and even that could cause confussion given certain scenarios. I wonder if Naruto ever qualified his love of ramen in the manga (the comparison to his love of ramen comes from Sakura as an explanation of his misunderstanding of the different layers, rather than an explicit statement on his part).

Personally I liked the conflict, as it addressed one of the issues I had with "The Last" movie, namely, "if Hinata was under the mistaken impression that Naruto was already in a relationship, why did she keep making that scarf for him?". The doujin actually gives a believable explanation: She was planning to *give up* on Naruto after making the scarf, which is why she is feeling guilty about the whole situation.

I am glad you liked the "Cultural Note" at the end, it was something I wrote personally.

FYI, his love of ramen isn't defined in the manga but it *is* defined in the movie as "daisuki".

Do bear in mind though that for Naruto ramen is *not* just a food. It's something that genuinely brings him happiness and joy. In Konoha Hiden we find out that Teuchi was the first adult that treated Naruto like an actual human being and made him feel welcome. He was the first person that treated Naruto kindly, so it's little wonder that in Naruto's mind ramen=love.

So, yeah, ramen and Hinata are both on the "daisuki" level of affection in Naruto's mind. Both bring Naruto feelings of happiness and joy, and both make him feel all giddy inside.

MrSeyKer. You are 100% wrong about Narutos love. the translation was absolutely confirmed love to Sakura. Check the ACTUALLY raw before you put that bias bull out their and give misinformation.

Eveybody knows Naruto was retconned and FORCED to be with Hinata. the manga ending made bo sense. and Naruto becoming a scumbag and failing in getting the girl like his mother. Sakura turned into a doormat fangirl.

Its sickening what happened to the manga and how Kishi destroyed every character just for the benefit of Hinata's character.
