@Randomguy664: There's no "admiral" character in the game, be it male or female. It's just how the Kanmusus refer to the player, so the gender of the admiral is essentially the gender of the player.
But since Kancolle has a lot of fandom around it, artists created a lot of variants for the admiral, like shota admiral, little girl admiral, Abyssal admirals, etc... I've even seen some pictures with Stalin as the admiral.
