It's less a case of "doing better" than "if this is how it is, we'd rather have nothing."

Among the 'translators' that fit that motif, are CGRascal, Goatse, and Laruffi (who is actually Goatse under a different username, but I digress). While CGRascal has good taste and at this point in time has people backing "him" up stating that people should offer to help instead of just bitching about the translation quality, in the end his hit-to-miss ratio on translation, or perhaps, 'editing' quality, is still not favorable, turning the first virtue into a mark against.

Meanwhile, Goatse/Laruffi is more blatantly trolling, else, it seems no one wonders why his name is goatse. At that rate, one would make more sense of the non-translated version, having less of a headache by the end of it, and void of the feeling of irritation that comes from reading half-nonsensical ramblings that might as well count as a low-quality rewrite.

Stating that most critics would not be able to reproduce the same quality of work (heh) is completely irrelevant to the point of being a critic and criticism itself. It's not as if we started disliking his work overnight, there are loads of other new translators who do worse or similarly, and you see encouraging posts with some criticisms at the top of the comments section.

Thankfully I read Japanese and Chinese so this doesn't affect me much, but seeing Laruffi's shit is as painful as seeing that "Air" (Chinese) Translator group post only their own translation and not the raw version.

Also, CGRascal isn't the best at what he does, but comparing him to Laruffi is offensive to the former.

I won't comment on translation quality or editing. These were digital raws, and most of the pages, from 03 all the way to 10, were a series of perfect joins. simply open up in an editor of your choice, and put them next to each other: 03-04, 05-06, 07-08, 09-10. Absolutely no redrawing required. 06 has an extra row of black pixels on top, though.

Amazing artwork by Ohigetan as always. Translation and editing needs a lot of improvement. If you really care about the product you would take people's criticism seriously and endeavor to improve rather personally attack people who have legit gripes with the effort put into this work, or lack thereof. If you really don't care that you're putting out substandard work, as several people seem to be suggesting, then maybe it's time to move onto a new hobby.
