Yes, this has a sequel. Three sequels in fact - this is the first of a set of four. Raws for the others are currently both not available and sold out though, unfortunately.

To help everyone else out: The foreword (P7) reads: “The thing loosely attached to the collar is not a chain, but rather a ribbon, as a just-for-kicks pet confinement type of thing.” Page 25, the nameplate page – Left: Uchida, Top: Shino, Bottom: Fumiya. The boy’s name, however, is Suzuki as said on page two.

Huh, that was somewhat odd. Judging from the flashback and the current events, I'm assuming he imprisoned her (instead of her wanting to be a slave). And then she somehow fell in love with him? Not enough information to tell unfortunately.

Edit: Never mind. Some people are much better detectives then me.

From what I see, I assume that the girl and the guy were in a relationship before or something, but for some reason the girl freaked out over something, causing her to become "tethered to that place" like the story says. Like she was afraid of being alone or something, so she dreamed up this "pet play" to connect her with the guy.

I don't think the guy's at fault or the one who forced her to be a pet, because he seems to be quite a decent person. The scene where she's yelling at him to let go in the past doesn't seem like he's forcing her to do something, it's more like she's freaking out and he's trying to calm her down. It's more like he knows this is all some fabricated situation, and is just playing along with it to please the girl, who apparently has a lot of issues.

It also fits with the guy's description of her being a cat instead of a dog. She's not loyal or obedient, she's someone who craves affection, and acting like a pet is a sort of twisted way to gain that affection.

Of course, this is all just speculation.

The clue is in page 25; they have same surname. It is very likely that they are mother and son.

So this can be: there was an accident, which killed the father and caused page 3 (they clothes are dark, for funeral maybe). The mother has metal breakdown and the son accepted the new form of relationship as master and slave.

Considering what V O N said, I don't think they are mother and son. He's in high school, so it would be strange that he's not living with his family. More like they knew each other from before, like childhood friends (older onee-san type) or maybe even cousins.

And no wonder she wants him to call her Shino-chan, bet calling her Uchida-san just reminds her of her husband :/

Ah well, I hope it clears up in the sequels, eagerly awaiting those.

A bit of a spoiler, but the actual reason is not all that dark like everyone expects.

The truth is that the girl (Shino) was lonely after her brother and (I guess) family friends all left, either on business trips or moving out to live in school dorms. Hence, she is the only one at home. She asked the boy (Suzuki) who is their neighbor to visit her. After a discussion about how lonely she might be, they came up with the idea of being a pet for the entirety of her spring break. Hence the current circumstances. (BTW, the part where the girl is freaking out in the flashback is actually a funny moment where she...oh well, wait for the later books).
