Well, the punishment/execution method of crucification was around long before Christ, and in a lot of diverse places, however, given the #30 shot of her carrying the cross, I'm pretty sure this was an intentional attempt to present WW as a Christ-figure analogy... whom we're gonna molest/rape, I guess... I'm sure the artist's parents are proud. >.>
Pretty sure it's religious offence which motivates m1SeRY's comment.

The subtext of these pieces represents an astounding rebellion against modernism, portrayed by a grotesquely proportioned Wonder Woman facing a gauntlet of the artist's rejections of her own base nature. Religious symbols represent the artist's inability to overcome his or her deep seated resentment of the patriarchal power structures that persist in modern Christianity. Modernism, AKA WW's crucifixion by the Church demonstrates the artist's beliefs that the pervasive persistence of religion stifles progress instead of pushing it forward.
Wonder Woman is later captured and violated by an obese woman who somehow manages to affect Liefeldesque poses in spite of her prodigious girth - a comment on the flexibility and relentlessness of Fast Food Culture and rampant consumerism. The lithe, nubile, and strong are broken over the knee of McDonalds, and forced to gladly dine on the swill stuck to the bottom of Fast Food's shoes. The act of foot/boot licking also demonstrates that though modern life desires to rise above the crushing weight of obesity, it must also act subservient to continue surviving.
