So it seems to me that this mangaka had the same idea that the writer of the Twilight series. For what I've read the female MC in Twilight was not given a personality to allow the female readers to put themselves in her place in contrast whit the fairy... I mean vampire, that receive a very detailed description.

...Unfortunately for me eyeless mc's as depicted here give me the creeps :(
