The group name invokes several things for me. For one, it invokes those acid attacks against women common throughout Asia (http://viid.me/9MrdL); and two, it invokes the idea of a bunch of kids sitting around in a classroom after school, tripping on acid. In fact, the latter is how I think they came up with the idea for this comic, since it's full of random visuals, tripping from scene to scene.
