Seriously Apollo-kun, did you even read the story? It's saying that the wolf "god" thing is trying to undermine the humans and elves! How is that not related in any way to what you're speaking of? You can literally see it coming!

Interesting. I initially thought that this might be more of the anti-human bullshit from the original series, but it seems Naylor's being a bit more ambiguous than that. I really, really hope this doesn't continue as the Inquisitor falling. She's kind of half there, but so long as she keeps putting down cults she'll probably be all right. I'm just really hoping this doesn't devolve into the whole "Wolves are superior, weak humans must submit" story that the original Red Riding Hood series was.

Well this is either going to be boringly predictable, or really fucking awesome. Here's hoping she doesn't give in and just revels in her kills.

It's almost funny, she's being conditioned the wrong way. She's being rewarded for KILLING THE WOLVES. Oh sure there's a vision at the end about some idiotic future where human woman are servants and fuck toys and the wolves are fat and lazy, but if you ignore that she's being rewarded for doing exactly the opposite of what the wolf god wants. If he was smart he would torture her using the dreams, actually punishing her for killing his subjects, make her thinks twice and hesitate in battle.

The way this is going, the way I HOPE it's going to go at least (though the title suggests we're going the boring way), is the Inquisitor continuing to slaughter the wolves and relish in their 'forgiveness' at night, using them for her own pleasure and nothing more.

Jay normaly has a strong contempt for riligeon, so this is a little surprising to read. A god slowly mastering humanity through dreams? Dosnt sound like something he would write. Either he's going against the grain for something new, or is setting this "wolf god" up for eventual failure as the new heroine of this series rebels against her "nature" and instead masters it.

Jay naylor has great artwork, but he/she's no author.

The works without drama are very solid one-shots, but the affair/rape stuff is worse.

I really dont get a story of rape, sex-addiction, and even attempted genocide became as large as it did. Now there's a sequel and I hope its more tame in the rape direction.

I love how people are saying "maybe this series will be different" when it's called THE RISE OF THE WOLF QUEEN.
