IvanaJackov: If I had to guess, it would probably be that when people curiously read comments of an interesting new gallery to see people's reactions, seeing cookie-cutter begging for a torrent or translation almost every time begins to grate on their nerves. One person asking in isolation may seem reasonable, but piled up enough times the response is prone to change. Admittedly possibly problematic if there's no other path than to ask (unless there's some way to add a torrent request to the Bounty system).

It begins getting on my nerves. And it's always the 1st comment! I mean, come on, can't you at least put a comment about the gallery first, THEN asking for something?

@IvanaJackov: It's because any even half-decent gallery will get a torrent. There's no need to ask. If there isn't a torrent 30-45 min after it's been uploaded (and it's rare for it to take that long), then feel free. But chances are there will be one by then.
