I think the translator got confused in the last page.

In the original Japanese version Lancer says, "If it was a girl, I wouldn't have to kill her with my own bear hands, like the last time." This is implying the events in The Ulster Cycle: Táin Bó Cúailnge where Cú Chulainn (Lancer) kills his own son, Connla.

Bazzet responds to his comments, is making that regretting face, which Lancer replies, "What are you making a face that says, <I should not have brought up children in the conversation>; I can't tease you like that." (A mistake made when the Japanese phrase for "not bringing it up, or should of left it alone" is "to not touch it or should have not touched it".)
