Tried to read the book series once.....after the first book, it goes downhill. WAY downhill to the point I was laughing instead of being engrossed.

Any other series written like the Gor series would have been mocked into an obscurity and the author forced to buy back all sold copies and then have them incinerated. I never understood why it developed a subculture of people living a lifestyle that attempts to follow the guidelines of slavery from these books, written as nothing more than masturbatory fodder for the author himself......bonkers.

Ceasriojpn, agree totally, its a pile of crap. Read a bit of the first book after someone on collarme recommended it (i reckon they were trolling) and then promptly binned it. Utterly crap. Got verbally attacked by a Gor nutter at a munch a few weeks later when his favourite book was compared to the shit smears on a piece of loo roll. Sad people really.

@cesar, maybe the first four books at most, but after that the action became less and the slave sociology/psychology garbage got longer. Insanely repetitive after a while. Probably the worst drivel ever in the SF genre.
