Symmetrical docking has long been used as a fan term for girls pushing their breasts together- at least if the breasts are the same size or relatively so, anyway. Asymmetrical docking is when girls push their tits together when one is considerably smaller/larger than the other. An anime from 1997, "The King of Braves GaoGaiGar," featured several giant robots. Some of these (such as HyoRyu and EnRyu) would yell out "Symmetrical Docking!" and then merge together into even bigger giant robots. GaoGaiGar was featured in a Japanese game, Super Robot Wars Alpha 2, in 2003. One of the SRW fanbooks had a gag that featured HyoRyu and EnRyu yelling out their familiar cry, but in the panel where you would expect them to merge, two of the SRW original characters (Seolla and Kusuha) pressed their ample boobs together. That's the oldest place that I remember seeing symmetrical docking.
