at fragkia3: nope. in the japanese game she is a woman. when the game was ported to the US, she was explained to be a transgender, to lessen the "impact" of violence against women. she was edited into a dude (physically) completely in the NTSC SNES port. she is still a woman in the japanese port

Well she was originally a woman, but when final fight was brought to the US capcom thought it was more morally acceptable to beatup trannies instead of women, so moral of the story, bigotry is wierd.
