As a swiss I know his works a bit. I would like to note out that he created the ALIEN from the first movie, then he didn't worked anymore with the movie people. Got an oscar for that. The whole Xeno design, that wall architecture and so on is made up by him. He also got a Museum in Gruyere switzerland which is all about the images you see here and much more. Next to the museum is the Giger Bar, a Bar in Xeno style. Just google Giger Bar and Giger Museum Gruyere and you will find plenty of images and documentation.

I remember in an interview that he had nightmares, and those pictures where inspired by them. I see him as a very gifted and truly amazing artist.
