When I read through the raw, I was confused, unfamiliar with the source material. I mean really, it's freaky monster stuff.

Having read through a bit of info on the source material and reading this translation, I appreciate this a lot more. It's rather surprising that a doujinshi of this was made considering this book only came out a month ago or so and the source material finished it's run in 1995. (Although there was a rerelease in 2003 I believe But that's still 9 years old.)

The idea of an emotionless alien observer of human behavior engaging in one of the stranger aspects of human behavior (very few species practice recreational mating) and enjoying the experience is an interesting one. Certainly been done before, but this well-executed, which can make all the difference. It's not a matter of her human personality resurfacing and leading her to enjoy it (the parasite basically kills of the human mind it seems), it's a calm out-of-body like observation of orgasm, and the act of doing 'feminine' things like gasping and moaning with each thrust that intrigue the character.

Even throws in a 'women don't want to age' joke in the end.

Maybe I'm totally off base with interpretation and information, but it's an interesting read nevertheless.

@ Randomguy664 Parasyte is actually a really good manga if you ever take the time to find and read it. The basic plotline is that "Parasytes" are parasitic life forms from space that take over humans to survive. They are supposed to burrow into the head and take over the brain, which does kill the human etc, but the protagonist wakes up before his parasyte can do this and it ends up burrowing into his hand instead. The manga is centered on that plot that normal humans cannot tell who is a parasyte and who is a human, while the parasytes have no real understanding of human emotions logic and reasoning but have to co-exist in our world. The protaganist has to work with his parasyte to exist since hes technically not infected, and has that whole isolationist in plain site and the average joe thrown into a world affecting conflict quality.

I recommend finding it, most of it is easily on half of the manga scan sites.

It's always a pleasant surprise to read something like this (i.e., something referencing an obscure or older series that you like).

@Randomguy664 I liked reading your analysis. I second Crackle's comment, the series is well worth checking out. I passed it over years ago when Mixxzine/Tokyopop originally translated it...it looks kind of dowdy in how it's drawn. But kind of like Project ARMS it's a series that you'll really enjoy if you read it. This doujin was fun because it was in character and could just as easily have happened in the canon of the story).

I'm surprised at how this doujinshi looks exactly like the manga and the characters act exactly as you'd expect from the manga. I always liked Ms. Tamura's way of over-analyzing every little detail even in mid-combat, and apparently during sex as well. I wish they would have done something more with Shinichi and Migi though, I would've like to see them and Tamura duke it out one more time.
Its good to see an appriciation of sorts for such a well done series. Kudos!

The series itself is something to watch for. Overall it does have scenes of violence and gore, so beware. The plot has already been stated in an earlier comment so I wont bother.

She always has a strange allure, being beautiful, but zero emotion. She never harmed her child even though she seemed to have no maternal instincts, except late in the series.

SPOILER ALERT dont read the next part if you intend to read the manga

page 3,4, and 5 are taken from the actual manga. the women in this is actually killed heroically saving her child from a man trying to kill her child as revenge, and then protecting her child from police gunfire rather then her vulnerable body.
