The two main characters' developing relationship; that was interesting, that was cute. So a few things.

A) Yea, all this political intrigue is ridiculous. No one really cares about it. I get Shane is trying to world build and expand this into more than what the initial premise was, but it moves way way way WAY too slow for it. Comic has been going on for seven years and we've covered all of a few days at most, not counting time skips.

B) The art hasn't evolved at all. That's....not a good sign. Artists should refine their style over time. This looks like he drew everything all at the same time and has just been posting it up every so often. The only thing I can see is he's tightened up the outlines.

C) Speaking on artwork.....why does everyone have an extreme overbite in when shown in profile while talking? Why does everyone's mouth have to be opened so wide it looks like they're trying to swallow a watermelon?

D) It's ...disappointing....Been following since 2015 and it just feels like absolutely nothing has happened. A few minor conflicts and a B plot that I have zero interest in. For something that's been going on for seven years now I really feel like we should have more.

I'm going to have to disagree there. And if you dont like big plot arcs, well, plenty of shorter material on the site too. Both have their place. Seven years is 364 weeks. 247 pages divided by that is roughly a page every 10 days. You know many artists who are able to keep up that pace, let alone dedicated enough to do so for 7 years, for a free project? I dont. But if you have zero interest, like I said theres other material on the site that may offer more of what you are looking for.
