I was wondering why it was labeled that. I didn't see anything that looked AI generated, and took that with a grain of salt. Glad you were able to resolve that!

Sad that it's going the route of having to do real life captchas in some way to prove your art is human made and not AI.

If I would have to guess it was the shading that made people assume it was AI, typically 'anime' AI art typically has soft and bright shading especially around muscle definitions, and since you're an unknown western artist to this site so people jumped the gun. There are other western artists do that same type of soft shading and have a 'anime' artsytle but they were here before AI art existed, so you're just an unfortunate victim circumstance. That said it should of been clear it's not AI since are other panels that don't follow that type shading, plus most obvious tell AI art uploaders don't even bother making multiple panels per page.

It really sucks that they had to prove the comic wasn't AI but I love the look at the workflow- they put a surprising amount of thought into the perspective & mc's form

I have seen people calling art from 5 years ago AI generated (for instance some Remilia pictures from Insanityfactor (twitter, also found under the name shukusuri)).

Or more generally stuff from "inoue nanaki" that can be found here (saw people saying the CGs for the apetite games were AI generated even though that artist has been doing the same exact style and bodies and women and storylines for years)

People don't realize that AI didn't invent a style of drawing but just copied/merge styles that the people who made the models liked, so of course people there are people who have similar style (only exception being the photorealistic style I guess)

I mean imagine thinking ghibli animations were AI generated because you saw galleries of AI generated stuff based on ghibli art style

AI is living rent free in the heads of some people. I think we can even say AI won the war, when people go and call non AI stuff AI it's already won

People complaining about update frequency and citing the bumping rule:

Banana Cream Cake had horrible art quality, and Maximum_Joe updated it almost daily. For years.

The bumping rule is really mostly about non-content updates, like re-ordering pages or something like that just to keep the gallery on top with no other purpose. Even Banana Cream Cake wasn't breaking that rule, as much as people wanted for it to be.

I don't personally find this egregious by comparison, especially given the much higher standard this has been drawn to, although I do understand peoples' annoyances with it.
I like the comic btw, hope the artist keeps at it (to say nothing of upload schedules).

New thoughts about latest happenings in comic:
I hope he(?) gets to go on the date still. Not a huge fan of random blowjobs to strangers in bathrooms (not going to lie, I was a little disappointed in that), but I'll wait it out and hopefully it'll get back to the things I like soon. Or something weird happens as the result of the bathroom happenings to the two guys who walked in.

The main reason I got fed up with it from MeowWithMe is that the updates were tame shit because most of her comics don't fucking go anywhere interesting. This comic got interesting IMMEDIEATLY and continues to stay good. So it's fine.

You'd also think that those in charge of the site may say/do something if they are intentionally breaking DMCA. Dude had posted an ultimatum, then saying "they were posting copypastsa memings" and he was the victim of the system, and yet here we are.

The really maddening thing for me here is that here's an artist doing quality stuff that's trying to be nice and make sure everyone is able to see their work, not hiding it behind a paywall forever (or until the paywall site account is killed by a payment processor).

And then this one asshole decides to make it his mission to ruin that. So now the artist has to face potentially not being able to pay rent unless they get another job, looking like an enormous asshole by stopping updating altogether or moving to a different paysite that's harder to scrape (and losing all current subscribers in the move), or stopping drawing because this blackmailer has sucked all the joy out of drawing for them.

It's kinda fucked. Unfortunately this site in general doesn't go out of its way to "protect" artists, because most artists aren't being this generous/considerate and the norm is for artists to not share stuff. So making the artist DMCA every time/not having an automated means for dealing with it is actually helpful for the community most of the time because it means there's a window to download stuff like Irodori-licensed raw scans and whatnot before irodori can manually get around to sending DMCA's and the site can get around to dealing with them. And making exceptions in this case would open the door for jerks like Irodori to expect more proactive action on the part of the site.

In that way, being a nice person, like AnyaArt seems to be, is putting them at a disadvantage. And I don't have a really good answer except for waiting for the blackmailer to get tired (might take days or multiple years, if you remember 'cgc' ruining all their gallery scans, that went on for over two years… autism's a hell of a drug). They only stopped when the rules were finally changed to prohibit "defaced" galleries, and defacing became a valid reason for an expunge. But if they made a rule saying "if the artist is putting it on a release delay and is being consistent, then an expunge of another uploader is valid" then it's implicitly approving of "piracy" in some cases but not others. It's just a real mess.

Edit: TheDragonRider: I am autistic myself, and am speaking to the tendency i have observed in myself and in others on the spectrum to hyperfixate on something and never let go. cgc certainly felt that way. I also was on 4chan for a long time and even though I've moved away from it now (hate for a lot of things stopped feeling ironic to me), some habits and mannerisms die hard. Using "autism" as a shorthand for this kind of thing, the actual meaning was commonly understood there. Autism in this case is not inherently a negative, people often self-described as autistic in a neutral or positive way (better than being a "normie"). That sort of devotion to a thing can be good in some other situations.

It was 2 words in a sentence thanking Anya for their work. You're caring a lot that those 2 words were included and typing up essays making yourself the centre of attention here. No one's saying you can't identify with the story without being trans but there are similarities in feminizing yourself and getting comfortable with your new body through the use of HRT or other gender affirming surgeries. Can't you see how announcing you're trans would be relevant in a conversation about a comic where a boy slowly becomes a girl and is hesitant but ends up enjoying the process? It's not narcissistic and I'm not saying pronouns should be included on e-hentai lmao but having that signifier helps Anya know that their comic is appreciated by the group of people they make their stories including. This is in opposition to the way trans people are usually fetishized in media otherwise and is important as mindful representation.

You are right. Literally no one was. Not even me. As the story was not the target of that comment. As it is self-evident that the male character in the story, very much, is being forced into a transformation against his will.

I was saying that by being an attention whore the commenter is creating a lot of problematic implication when saying, "Anyway I'm a trans gal..." A completely unnecessary and irrelevant thing to say.
Now, an attention whore does not care about the implications of things they say however implications happen irregardless of a person's intentions. So what does that mean here?

The first thing that gets implied is that being trans somehow matters to their liking of this story. So how is that to be applied here? Well the only sensible implication that can be made is that being trans somehow allows a reader to identify with the story in some meaningful way. To know what to do with that; we need to know what the story is about.

The story is about a boy who has a supernatural interaction with a ghost. This boy declares himself a man, declares he wants to be a man, makes it very clear he does NOT enjoy becoming a girl, spends a small stint in a mind-controlled-esque state where he immediately laments his actions and in general is being forced into becoming female against his will. Which is supported by actions and reactions of the ghost character. The boy had declared he likes a particular female in his class and is attempting to spend time with her. He manages to get the time he wants and is enjoying the time he is spending with her.

So what implications are to be made from this? That the poster does not view himself as a female, that they do not want to become a female, that they are being forced against their will into transitioning.

Can you see the problem yet? The attention whore does attention whore things and creates the implication that being trans is a bad thing and is being forced against their will into doing something they don't actually want to do.

This is why I am so vehemently opposed to this attention whore comment. It is completely unnecessary as it adds nothing to of value to declaration of their admiration to the story. All it does is create completely unnecessary and problematic implications. This is why I hate attention whores so much. And they do this bullshit to everything and everywhere. It should not be tolerated or accepted.
