Not really about good vanilla story but more like NTR doujin in general is sort of stale , every doujin copied each other format and you can easily guess the cast and the outcome , it is all the same char but different art . Many NTR works lack of story and character building and bank on good art to do the carrying . Sure good fap is the only thing that really matter in the end but when you eat the same material for 2 decades....

Pretty much what Kampfer91 said - Most NTR is boring because it was a race to the bottom. Who could come up with the most fucked up rage-inducing garbage before the next artist. At this point it's all the same, it's stale, the only thing keeping it going is that most of the best artists draw it. Always said, most of the reason why vanilla gets such a shit rep is because it's either drawn like crap, or has a boring, basic-ass story that is a chore to ignore. Vanilla like this is infinitely better.

Damn, I actually like Ratata's NTR content, but I may have to rethink what's better. This is good, seriously good. I guess the change of pace effect also has me. NTR plots are often predictable and don't really leave enough room for any characterization. The vanilla plot here was extremely basic, but there was enough effort put in to add both characterization and a bit of development. Combine that with insanely hot art and we've got a winner.

@Aldarin You're right, it would be cool if this had the same mechanic as the Bad Ending Party, where endings are literal "game over" endings, and the story simply goes back in the past and branches in a different direction so we can see a different bad ending. But since these are good "endings", they're not irreversable, they're not "gave overs" and they don't prevent the story from conitnuing. So we still have opportunities to see more potential good endings without erasing the previous ones, simply because they're not true endings. At the same time though, even though this couple is cute and all, it's kinda getting stale (maybe? Am I the only one?). I don't know...

It's incredibly funny to me that this guy (like so many ntr artists) invest so much time and energy into drawing cynical self-serving "the world is bad and I feel bad" ntr and yet their not-im-so-edgy bad end material seems both better written and more resonant with what they want to make every time. That copypasta of what he called his fans screams of emotionally insecure "I'm so edgy" artist cope every single time.

But yeah, this is great and the artist should do more of it. And should do more work outside what he's usually doing in general.

My personal theory is that Ratatouille74 actually does want to make vanilla (or is currently in a headspace where vanilla is more appealing), it's just that NTR pays the bills, or at least that's what I intuit by all the NTR stuff out there. Hopefully stuff like this convinces his patrons to want more of it.
