Eh, I think it works just fine as an open ended short and you can more or less guess the reasons why behind what goes on in the story.

At the end the other maid says they got ANOTHER promissory note (eg: future payment dealt upon delivery of a promised service). Other hints in the story allude to the shota's house not being particularly well off. So be it from a threat or her own initiative, the female butler here is basically selling her body to somebody that pays well for the sake of her shota master.

Butler clearly loves the shota. Shota likewise seems to hold an innocent kind of love for the butler. Whole theme of the story is the old guy trying to completely destroy her loyalty to the shota even beyond sex and steal her, complete with ntr dialogue. He doesn't succeed in the story and it leaves on a cliffhanger of him trying again by dangling $100,000 to presumably rent her again, to which you can make your own conclusion as to whether he ultimately succeeds or not.
