Just by tweaking colors and getting rid of transparency. If you use PS you can process every image in a batch with a few clicks. This is even easier to do with such masterfully clean pages, good job for that.

I appreciate your feedback. I was wondering if that image size was normal (very new to image processing). I think I know where to look, but do you happen to know the workflow in GIMP?
edit: I think I have it figured out (down to ~5 MB per image), will update gallery soon
