Yeah... going to give an automatic low rating for yet another "Here's a partial sample gallery that is basically just an advertisement, go to my Patreon or whatever if you want more."

Still annoyed that content creators use this site for advertising with incomplete galleries. Again, I get artists need to have income to keep making stuff, but using e-hentai, which is mainly a porn archive, for advertising with deliberately partial galleries is the kind of thing that makes people just go to stuff like Kemono and seek torrenting. It counters the primary purpose of archiving to deliberately post incomplete galleries and say go somewhere else if you want the rest. I've also noticed that English speaking artists do this much more. There's not a lot of primarily non-english speaking artists like those using Pixiv Fanbox posting their own incomplete works here as advertising by comparison.

As Gabe Newell put it, and it applies to porn not just games, “We think there is a fundamental misconception about piracy. Piracy is almost always a service problem and not a pricing problem,” .

For a lot of people if you deliberately make it hard or inconvenient for people to access your content or just publicly post incomplete demos or samples then say "pay if you want the finished product" they'll either not engage, just pirate it out of spite, or pirate for the sake of not wanting to deal with the inconvenience or not wanting others to deal with the inconvenience.

I'm also a bit bugged with MeowWithMe's initial popularity being sparked by remaking Milda7's works at this point even if this work does not specifically do that. I expect a lot of people into gender bender and feminization probably know Milda7 far more than MeowWithMe. Even not speaking Japanese I recall Milda7's site being one of my initial exposures to the fetish years ago.

I mean, I agree that Misnekoro is being needlessly and pointlessly vulgar, but I get the sentiment. It's just incredibly annoying when people post incomplete galleries here as advertising that will never or are unlikely to be finished. I get why they're doing it but I don't agree with it and don't think this site should be used for that purpose when it's mainly a massive library of completed works and translations that has been around for over two decades at this point.

Maybe it's just e-hentai is a site from the old internet as it was in the late 90s to early 00s that was formative to me and many others and I respect and love it for that and surviving this long. I know the web has changed in many ways, but it's just frustrating to see this kind of thing I guess when I remember there was a point that most fetish and porn stuff or just weird or niche content on the web was posted primarily because the writer, artist, or translator enjoyed it not primarily out of monetary gain. There's just so much stuff now that if it had been posted a decade or two ago it would not be behind a paywall and likely this more common model of doing things now of so much being monetized if it had done back then would have led to far fewer people knowing who those artists and and writers are now. I guess that last point is that when you raise the bar for entry far fewer people will care or know about it.

It's not just even the web I guess but over the years it seems like increasingly the apparent obvious answer to "Why does this content exist?" is "Money."

Come on, MeowWithMe.... I love you're work, and I know you are just doing this "to get ahead of the damned pirates". But this is a place for full galleries. So for your own mental health your best option is to pretend sites like this dont exist and be happy youre getting engagement from people who use your patreon. Some piracy you just have to accept. It's the same in all business, in big business stores they call it "shave" (I think been a while). Expected loss that you midigate by having something wirthwhile on Patrreon that can't be got here. For example: in the moment content that an enthusiast who's already willing to pay likes to see, posts day of, wips, sketch and stream dumps, etc. At 13k a month you should not be so presssed that you need to even visit a gallary site like this. Just let them exist. Or do what you want, happy summer.

To add to what people said above, on top of often being samples, many English works are ongoing, with lots of really small updates of 1 or 2 pages.

That makes the same galleries constantly rise up to the top of the search, drowning complete western works, and it reached the point that it even drowns other categories. It's so annoying to see the same old western results interspaced with new stuff that I just can't the use the western category anymore. Which is sad because it makes me miss potentially good works.

A way to be able to sort results by first uploaded date instead of last updated would be welcome. Our maybe it's time to subdivide the western category, maybe with a "western image set". And enforce correct use of the categories, this is indeed not doujinshi.

Yes, there is a bump limit, though it's more for imagesets which are not artist specific. "Ongoing" works can be updated more often.
