I'll never understand why some writers insist on doing hypnosis stories where the mc does the controlling but gets ruined and makes a fuss about it being a good end.

People that like hypnosis stories generally want a pay off. So you're really just losing both audiences since fans will hate the end and those that don't like hypnosis won't read up to the ending.

You see authors do this once in a while too so it's not like it's an attempt to be original either.

Her boyfriend was too smart on the previous story(was able to intercept the exact hour when the mc went and fucked the gf and her mom even though the dude had dissapeared for months) and now he is too stupid and too weak(cant move a highschool girl out of the way to run and punch the mc's face into the ground). Both are silly.
