It seems like both the illustrator and the author changed in the latter chapters (around chapter 46, I think). The art style suddenly got terrible, and the plot/scenarios became notably different and more boring.

Doubt it. From what we've already seen this is the kind of series where the MC cheating on his gf every other chapter with no remorse is fine but any of the girls getting with another guy is forbidden. I sincerely doubt the author has the balls to make either the sister or the gf lose so it'll either have an open end where things stay as they are or it'll go for some sort of harem end.
