I do think this setting would work better with just comics and written stories, maybe a VN if it's decent. Magical Realm Tabletop settings have always been extremely niche within the tabletop hobby. The setting and stories can be interesting to read and write about, but actually playing a session or campaign with others can easily be awkward and uncomfortable to even experienced tabletop players. Also, just standard fantasy and scifi RP can lead to various kinds of OoC drama. Adding a sex or fetish focus on top of that can make things worse.

There's also that Magical Realm settings by their very nature can easily end up grimdark or super fucked up just for the world to work while centering around perversion. Just as an example Monster Girl Encyclopedia is a porn setting that has a lot of explicit and implied grimdark.

I'll add a lot of NSFW tabletop games like this do have interesting concepts though which is why it's not unusual for people to try to adapt Magical Realm settings in whole or in part into something more workable and less focusing on the sex aspects.

The Bella the Barbarian Barmaid VN's development is on indefinite hiatus or possibly canceled. Last mention of it that I know of is from Rapscallion's Patreon dated 2/13/2021, Quote:
"A while back I was working on a project about a barmaid that dealt with contemporary millennial problems in a fantastical sword ‘n’ sorcery world.

2020 kind’a decimated the central thesis of the story and the project got shelved, but I think there’s still a lot of juice in the core idea of a barbarian girl that has to deal with 21st century problems.

Maybe we’ll see her again."

The concept looked interesting, but the only completed VN from Rapscallion is The Miskatonic which was short, linear, didn't have good writing, was surprisingly tame in both its lewdness and horror, and its comedic elements usually fell flat. If BtBB had been made I wouldn't have expected it be that good based on the dev's only other VN.

Rapscallion's art is good and there are some good base concepts, it's just I've never found any of their actual stories to be particularly entertaining and I can't recall finding any of the comedic parts of their work as being particularly funny. I can get off on this stuff, yeah, but it's not something I think would hold up for lengthy works without improvements to the writing at least.
