Mai (wife) is in debt because she spent too much money on designer bags, the money she pocketed from her husband's salary isn't enough to pay the debt off so she has to do some Papakatsu. Pretty fresh plot to be honest. Also few points:
-Boo chan and Mai's marriage has been sexless, maybe Mai didn't want to have sex with Boo chan because she takes no pleasure and cooking is enough to control him
-Mai got aound 5M yen from all the deals in this book, which is a fuck ton of money
-Mai was also looking down on the girl who was cheating with Boo chan
-Author said he wanted every characters involdved to be immoral, next chapter (last chapter) will explain who Kensuke is, maybe punish Boo chan too (laugh). He's looking forward working on it
