Transliterating "Ojisan" to uncle in this context reeks of unsupervised MTL.

Better than nothing I suppose but also a good indication why MTL can't fully replace human translation yet, there needs to be someone who understands what they're doing fixing mistakes like these even if MTL is used for the sake of automation.

Despite literally meaning uncle in Japanese, it is used informally to refer to pretty much any random middle-aged or old man. In English uncle can sometimes be used to refer to family friends around the age to be called uncle but it isn't used to refer to complete strangers like it is here.
