I don't really understand putting such a big emphasis on consent on the main page of your Patreon, and then having a number of comics where the plot is "something initiates a transformation of the main character without asking for consent first, but actually they like it so it's okay."

@Psychotic Pastry thats probably because of patreons strict rules. even when something is fictional if it isn't consensual then it gets removed. for example snow daze from outbreak games got removed on patreon because its a mind control story and wasn't consensual.

Aha, that would make sense. I had no idea Patreon's standards were that stringent. Though, that just makes Patreon look like hypocrites for accepting a handwave explanation instead of actually enforcing the spirit of their own rules.

@captplague Agreed. If they're immediately into it, there's no tension. Even if it's decent as smut, it's hard to make it compelling if there's no tension involved.

Edit: To be clear, I dig this one. I tend to like TFs more when the character is opposed to it, but I never say no to a good TF.

@Psychotic Pastry, it's not just Patreon. Most of my stuff is "wish fulfillment". And often if I were to explain the character's wants and needs in story through dialogue and/or exposition... that's pages that I could be telling a story, people having sex, etc. Really ought to make a Primer for my books that I'll put in the next comic and the like, if that what y'all really need?

Even if it is wish fulfillment, the fact that your work so consistently lacks even a moment of doubt or even questioning makes it so that they are caricatures, rather than characters. Everyone feels one-dimensional as hell.
