Full disclosure- if you don't like to read, you won't like this chapter. It involves to characters sending e-mails and IMs to each other. There's going to be a lot of text, especially in the beginning. So I don't want to be halfway through and people messaging me angry because there's too many words. It's going to be different from all the other chapters.

I hesitate to call this chapter 4 at all, since it's quite a break from the others. But it's a format for my file system, so I'll keep it chapter 4. Furthermore, all the text will still be in image format, png specifically. Also for routine, and also it will make things easier once the illustrations start. If it helps, you can think of the text pages as screengrabs while they're mailing each other.

Instead of comic page every day or two, it'll be be groups of several pages, at least until the comic portion happens. This means several days between updates. I'd like to take my time with this. It's all plotted out, beginning, middle, and ending. But there's room in between for stuff I haven't written yet. Furthermore, I'd like to take my time to do other stuff unrelated to the comic in between those updates. That would be a continuation of this last batch of SP porn, canon and non-canon. I feel no need to rush. Maybe later.

This will be a shorter chapter than the others, due to text vs. pics, as far as time it takes me to finish. If you don't like it, and that's fine, there's always the next one. It won't be relevant for future chapters, storywise.

Sadly, that seems to be the case with most people these days. Hardly anyone has the attention span to read walls of text (e.g. books, newspapers, or periodicals). They're more interested in attention-catching visuals and snappy sound bites.

Hey, I don't want to tell you how to curate your comic/story and all, but if this is a back and forth between characters in the comic, in the style of an epistolary novel, an intersting way to present said mail exchange would be to draw a monitor or tablet or whatever around it and let it get fuzzy and fade away over a couple of pages while zooming in on the screen itself. This way you can convey via the expected medium (the comic) what exactly is going on (instead of writing an explanation next to the medium itself) and grab your audience and pull them into the story at the same time.

Just saying.

man... this chapter. it kinda touched my heart in a special way just because it reminds me so much of how me and my wife used to chat before we met each other. we used to spend hours if not the entire day swapping neomails (yes, neomails.. we first met at neopets.. we are two doofus i know.. and boy are we proud of it XD) back and forth talking about everything.. the good things, bad things and random as well.. good times <3

This chapter has given me so many worldbuilding questions. Like, what does everyone eat in this world? How did society develope without lower animals? How did cetaceans develope a society without fire? Love the series though

I'm betting 10 to 1 that the reason this chapter is 99% text is because he got assblasted that people were making guesses on where the story was going and they weren't guessing in the same direction that he intended (which is the fault of the writer if everyone is going left but he wanted them to go right).

I can't help but find it hilarious.
