@Ermahferkinggerd: I tend to think it's because guro, as well as some other fetishes, have a rather limited audience. At least around here. Some people are willing to skip the post entirely without commenting or rating, others feel the need to come in and leave their opinion. So the ratings should not be assumed to be an indication of quality. Really they're more an indication of what's popular and what isn't, which proves my initial point: limited audience around here.

That said, I will say while the content isn't my fetish of choice and the story is rather short, I do like Naruto, and this is some quality art.

Yeah people definitely vote based on the fetish rather than the quality level quite often. You see this happen every single time before a loli gallery is sent to the fjords. It gets bombed with .5 and 1 star ratings, then recovers later.

Same thing with furry and other such fetishes. They often start out with low ratings from people who just see it on the front page, then balance out over time from people rating it who are actually searching for it and want to see it.

Some of the people rating low are simply idiots and assume some fetishes are against the rules (can see from the expunge tracker that gore, loli etc always show up as reasons);
