Yeah. I'm not sure exactly what is going on. This has the exact same characters as the first part. Maybe they are getting their species' equivalent of married? He says here that area is his family's special place and there is a tree growing there that looks similar to the tree that Chani has with her at the beginning. They also seemed to stress that planting the sapling is of some importance. I assume that Desmond not reacting much to Chani's innuendos is the same reason he needed to be beaten over the head that he was being seduced in the first part. Hopefully the next few pages clear things up a bit. Or maybe I just don't know the whole picture, I don't follow any artists online, so maybe the answer to what is going on isn't on G.E.

Thank God, I thought I was alone in this. Yes, the story is VERY confusing, even when you read the first part. I've read it like 3 times and I still don't know what's going on exactly...

How's it confusing? She expected sexy times, he attempted some romance and popped a 'let's have kids' talk out of the blue. As is clear from part 1, Desmond is about as subtle as a brick to the head.

The problem with this comic is there is no prior explanation of the culture surrounding these species and the relationship the two main characters have.
I read a lot of referencing to lots of things that could have happened previously, but with no knowledge of any details.
This makes me feel like I dropped in the middle of an intriguing conversation, but having no idea what it's actually about, making me feel left out.
